Mahia feat. QADIR [Lyrics]

Mahia feat. Qadir

Aaja ambian nu lagg gya bur Mahia,
Aaja ambian nu lagg gya bur Mahia,
Ve katon Chalea tu sade kolon door Mahia,
Sathon hoya ki das ja kusoor Mahia,
Oh tere Ishqe ne kita e majboor Mahia...

Pani khoohe ton jadon mein bharan jawan,
Galan Sakhian de naal terian karan jawan,
Tapde hirde nu sajna ve tharan jawan,
Sooli Ishqe di aape ve mein charan jawan,
Hey na kar tu manmatian ve dhola...

Sune vehre ch suna dil lai firdi,
Tenu dasni a gal dhola bade chir di,
Door sahan di tere sahan naal girdi,
Gaddi tere bharose dil di jae rid di,
Ve aaja sohniya sajna maar geda...

Sade jere u puchke dekh zara,
Hundi ki e ve ishqe di khed zara,
Beene Ishqe di naal wangu mehl zara,
Eddu wadh je kari tu channa der zara,
Oh Aa ke labhein ga dherian ve dhola...

Qadir - MAHIA

________________

The Diamond Lane Records proudly introduces its newest member, Qadir.
Known and respected widely in his home country of India, we felt compelled to sign him to a record deal with the great intent to spread his beautiful and unique sound to the rest of the world.
Qadir started singing at an early age. His father, Sardar Sarwan Singh was a poet and banjo player who helped Qadir develop a love for both poetry and music. Still a child, he began to perform at local schools, meanwhile teaching himself to play the harmonium. People would often comment on the unique sound of his voice, raspy yet melodic and sweet. Qadir capitalized on his inherent gift, and as time passed he honed and perfected his talents. By his college years, he was performing at every college event within the area. It was around this time that he discovered Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and fell in love with Qawwali and Sufi Music. His sound became heavily influenced by Nusrat, whom he now considers to be his Ustad, though they never met. Qadir formed his own Qawwali Group which included Mixman Shawn of Diamond Lane Records on taal and back up vocals. Thus, it was only a matter of time before Qadir would be signed to Diamond lane. And now, we would proudly like to introduce to you, Qadir, and his new release, Mahia.
